By David ChiuCNNHealth Staff WriterPosted May 10, 2018 07:27:00In a move that’s sure to please its customers, Sprint announced on Monday it will soon be offering cars that are smarter than the ones you’ve got now.
The company is offering its “Smart Car” to customers in the United States and Canada.
The smart car will be able to navigate roads and highways more efficiently, detect where you are and give you real-time directions.
It will also be able, in addition to using its own voice-recognition technology, to read traffic signals and give directions to other drivers.
“We’re bringing the smart car to more people who might be willing to pay a little more for a better car, and we’re bringing it to people who may not have the money or ability to pay for the best car,” said Jay Clayton, president of the National Association of Manufacturers.
“This is a really smart way to make a big impact in the marketplace.”
The new car is part of a broader strategy to make cars smarter in order to boost the bottom line.
This week, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration released an update to the National Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (NMVSS) to ensure vehicles are safer for all road users.
The updated standard is aimed at making cars safer and more reliable.
It includes standards for airbags, braking systems, electronic stability control and steering, and a host of other safety features that will be included in future models.
“There’s going to be a lot more driverless cars, more self-driving cars, and there’s going a lot of driver-assistance technologies,” Clayton said.
“There’s a lot going on with these new vehicles.”
There are some cars on the market that are more than capable of using a smart car, but they have limited range and are usually a bit expensive.
“We want to make sure they are affordable and they are going to meet the needs of the customer,” Clayton told CNNMoney.
The goal is to get customers into the car as quickly as possible, rather than having to wait for an entire year or two before they get their hands on one.
“Our goal is that every customer will get their first vehicle in the first month of 2019,” Clayton added.
“The goal is the first car that customers see is the best vehicle.”
The “SmartCar” is one of two new vehicles that will begin shipping to customers.
The other is the Nissan Leaf.
Both the new vehicles are designed to make their way into more than one country.
The Nissan Leaf, for instance, is available to customers who live in the Netherlands and the United Kingdom.
They will be sold in the U.S. and Canada, respectively.
The SmartCar is a hybrid, meaning the battery is in the back and the electric motor is in front.
The vehicle has a range of 80 miles on a single charge, and the rear seats are removable.
The front seats can be removed to make space for a carseat or a child seat.
The Nissan Leaf will be available in a number of colors, including green, red and black.
The car will come with a range-extending battery that will go from 10 to 50 miles on the same charge, depending on the driving conditions.
The SmartCar will also come with Bluetooth, which can connect to smartphones, allowing drivers to communicate with the vehicle remotely.
